Clitheroe Auction Mart has regular weekly auctions of livestock, antiques, furniture, equestrian items and horses, machinery and plant . Clitheroe Auction Mart has over 100 years of history in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire and includes Silverwoods as a division of the Company. Silverwoods specialises in the auction of antiques, furniture and fine art and the sale of rural property and quota.

Clitheroe Auction Mart and Silverwoods operate a register of milk, sheep and suckler cow quota for sale or lease throughout the year. We have close links with the farming community and have recieve frequent instructions to aquire quota. We would be pleased to assist in the completion of documentation for the Rural Payments Agency and advise on current valuation.

Farm Quota - Quota Terms and Conditions of Sale

All quotas are Sold/Leased subject to the lessors/Sellers agreement and to the Intervention Board or DEFRA or other authority responsible for effecting the transfer.

All quotas are Sold/Leased Subject to Contract by completion of the appropriate documentation within 7 days of an offer being made, and approval by the authority responsible for effecting the transfer.

While every effort is made to ensure details are correct Clitheroe Auction Mart Co Ltd accept no responsibility for any miss-statements as to the quantities, quality or type of quota.

Clitheroe Auction Mart Co Ltd act solely as agent between buyer and seller and will on receipt of payment for the quota from the purchaser will hold the money until the authority responsible confirm that transfer has been made. Documentation from that authority must be received before money is paid to the Vendor

In the event of a quota failing to be transferred the sole and only responsibility of Clitheroe Auction Mart Co Ltd is to return the money plus interest earned in full.

Both Vendor and Purchaser must read and understand the regulations for transfer of quota issued by the Intervention Board or Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries & Food and if necessary seek advice.
